Clarissa decides to call her mom up and confess to lying about her relationship with Nick after her parents spotting him making out with Roxie at the airport. But once Clarissa makes the call, her mom begins unloading on her about her problems with Marshall and this makes Clarissa second guess her decision to call. Instead, she decides not to come clean.
Clarissa decides to go visit Nick and we get our best chapter in a while. Nick confesses his relationship isn’t a healthy one and is barely a relationship to begin with. Clarissa asks him to go to Genelle’s wedding with her, which he agrees to. The cute relationship that began so early in this book has been reignited and I like it. As much as I want Sam and Clarissa to end up together, I feel like her relationship with Nick is a bit healthier, despite his relationship status.
I think this was a good kick in the pants for the plot and I’m anxious to see where it takes us.
