So, maybe it’s a bit convenient that Genelle has also moved to the city, but we’re gonna ignore that tidbit. Clarissa finds her looking great. She’s happy, has new boobs, a new nose, and Lasik.
The reason for this meeting is Genelle feels remorse for how she acted at the reunion and she was so upset with herself she started this path to improvement. She even wrote a self-help book and got engaged. So instead of being real, it turns out she just wanted to brag about all the good things in her life to Clarissa.
Clarissa goes to her girls night and more horrible dialogue with bad accents occurs, although they use the word trampage which I’m totally stealing.
The girls convince Clarissa to invite Nick to Genelle’s wedding.
Two more chapters down and I think I can see this book ending at the wedding, where Sam, Nick and Clarissa will have be forced to interact and choose sides.
