It’s Wednesday, but not just any Wednesday, its April 8th, aka Rex Manning Day. It’s also payday. So, that makes this Wednesday pretty awesome.
I don’t have any big plans for my money other than committing it to paying off more debt. We’ve been making some huge strides in that department and since my last blog mention of money I’ve gotten my finances under control. The panic buying has ceased and eating at home most nights has really helped keep things in line. We do plan on eating at Tupelo Honey tonight, which is somewhere Brandy has wanted to take me since we started dating. I’m sure it wont be quite the same since we’ll have to get it to go, but at least it’s something different.
If we keep our jobs and the stimulus checks come in, we may be able to pay off my final credit card by the beginning of May. I’ll be debt free for the first time since I was 19 years old. That’s a huge deal for me since it’s arguably my only real goal in life right now.
So, I don’t think I ever discussed this outside of work, but with all that’s going on I really think we are turning into the world of Demolition Man. We ran out of toilet paper, so maybe that’s why they used the three seashells. Also, they had amazing ways to greet each other than didn’t involve contact. I was reminded of this today when I saw Fauci say he didn’t think Americans should ever handshake again.
Man, now I really want to watch Demolition Man. I love that friggin movie.
