Well, it’s Thursday and I gotta say, it’s been a good week. Actually, it’s been a good couple of weeks. That’s not to say everything is perfect and honky dory, but my stress level has been lowered quite a bit and things seem to be moving along.
This week my cousin Angie has come to visit from Seattle. It was a last minute sort of vacation, but it was nice to see her again. My father will be in town today, so we will have a sort of family dinner in the next day or so which should be interesting since I don’t normally have those sort of things with my dad nor family from out of town.
Brandy’s been knocking it out of the park with her cooking as of late and on Monday she made delicious sweet potato tacos with my favorite corn/pepper mixture, grilled chicken, and her signature sauces.
We’ve eaten on these leftovers for a couple of days, and last night she took the left over corn mix and chicken and turned it into this masterpiece which was fantastic. It was my first experience with spaghetti squash and I’ll definitely be back for some more.
We began 2020 with a vision to reduce our debt and we created a simple budget to help us reign in some spending and get us on track. With the Jeep turned in and our new car purchased, we’ve revisited our budget and updated it a bit. I think we are now on and even better track to reduce debt and hopefully help carve out the life that we want as debt free as possible.
I took some time this week to do my quarterly digital organization cleanse. I back up all my photos, organize them, delete out the useless ones and clean up my phone and computer. It may sound like a tedious task (and it can be) but I like having all my files accounted for and easily searchable. It also helps me feel less cluttered which is always a big boost for my mental health.
It’s supposed to snow today, somewhere between one and three inches. Luckily, it’ll be around 50 tomorrow, so the drive into work should stink, but at least it’ll only be around one day.
I watched Doctor Sleep over the weekend and I enjoyed it. I actually wrote a review for 90sHorrorReview.com that is live now. I also went in and finished up some drafts and have enough content to update the site through June. So, feel free to check back there for the occasional horror movie review.
